Women’s ponytail style scrub cap made from a Dear Stella fabric called Moon Phases. This cap has a navy background and shows the moon in different phases. This cap has a teal blue ribbon.
This hat is hand-made for you by an RN.
This style hat is a bun/ponytail style scrub hat. It has a casing at the back that the ribbon is drawn through. The ribbon can be pulled to tighten the hat around your bun. This hat is sized for someone with an average-medium sized head with longer hair.
Satin lining: Satin lining is an option on this listing. Satin can help keep your hair more moisturized and is often preferred by people with curly hair. The satin on my cap is placed in the body of the cap and will cover the low bun. Please note that due to the pattern for my cap that the satin does not extend to the brim of the cap.
Washing instructions: I recommend washing cold and tumble dry low or hang to dry. 100% cotton will shrink over time with repeated washings and drying on high heat. All of my fabrics are pre-washed prior to sewing.
Ribbon care instructions: The ribbon on this hat is grosgrain. The very end has been run through heat to prevent fraying. Wash on cold and dry on low to extend the life of your ribbon. Should any fraying develop you can gentle cut the fray and then use a lighter along the very end of the ribbon to melt it again. Ribbons too long for your taste? Feel free to trim them on a diagonal to your preferred length and use a lighter along the very edge to seal the ribbon.
Note: Should the ribbons work themselves out of the casing in the wash, just use a safety pin on the end of the ribbon to insert the ribbon back into the case and then gently pull it through to the other side.
